We found Franzi one morning while we were getting a donut in Chemnitz. She agreed to do the interview and we went across the street and set up the cameras in a park. Franzi told us about her parents' divorce as a child and how she handled that situation. She told us that when her second sister was born her mom's behavior changed and that this is when the trouble in the family began. Franzi also told us that she decided to check herself into a care facility at the age of twelve and not live with either of her parents. She told us that she ended up getting kicked out of several homes and eventually was made to serve time in a psychiatric facility. Franzi eventually was released but ended up in jail. She told us that those days are behind her now and that the most important thing in her life is her three year old son Luca. We thanked Franzi for her time and we headed out to find our next interview.
