MARIO,

BERLIN-KREUZBERG/GÖRLITZER PARK

(BE)

Our interview with Mario was our last interview in Germany. We met Mario in Görlitzer Park, where he was spending the afternoon riding his bike. Mario agreed to the interview and told us about his life from childhood to present day. Mario said his youth was rather tumultuous and that he spent most of his teenage years in a private care home for children. After that, Mario got into the Punk rock scene and the Hip-Hop scene around Berlin. He organized shows and spent time in the musicians recording studios. Today, Mario is working towards getting a full time job in sanitation and hopes to be more financially secure than he was doing freelance work. After our interview with Mario, we said goodbye, packed up our things and left the park just before it began to rain.
